The artwork SUPERELLIPSE, located at NAV Lillestrøm, is the result from a course focused on the production and planning of public art commissions, for the Academy of Fine Art's students at Khio, under the guidance of artist Ebba Moi.

The objective was to devise a proposal for a permanent sculpture designated for a specific area known as Torget, spanning two floors within the NAV headquarters in central Lillestrøm. Throughout the fall of 2021, students were provided access to the premises, utilizing it as a residency for a two-month period.

SUPERELLIPSE stands as a three-dimensional, interactive artwork intended to serve as a natural gathering point for both employees and visitors. Constructed from aluminum, the three-meter-high structure is shaped by the interplay between the human form, motion, and geometric principles. This artwork embodies the concept of the square as a dynamic, organic space, challenging conventional notions of structure and activation while inviting interpretation as a multifaceted entity.
